Healthy and Tasty:
This antioxidant-rich smoothie is the perfect post-workout drink. It is packed with hydrating fruits and vegetables that contain powerful phytonutrients to help a body recover after exercise. The beets contain betalains that help balance inflammation in the body and the berries contain strong antioxidants to protect the body from free radicals. Both of these benefits are important to promote a full recovery. The carrot and apple are both a source of healthy fiber and glucose in the right ratios to help replenish glycogen that was used up during strenuous activity! For ease of use, try prepping and freezing a few bags full of carrot, apples, beets, and berries ahead of time. Simply empty a bag into the blender and top with some water and you are two minutes away from a refreshing, nutrient-packed drink!
